Royal Canadian Mountain Police – Moraine Lake, Alberta, Canada
PRINTED ON BACK: “Two symbols that say ‘Canada’ to anyone in the world are the famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Moraine Lake in the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains. This is the same lake pictured on the back of the Canadian $20.00 paper currency.”
Mailed August 21, 1977. Chrome. Bad condition with major staining, creasing, and wear to the edges and corners.
HANDWRITTEN: “Dear Grandpa,
Does this remine you when you whier a solder? I got this postcard at Winnapeg, Canada. We visted the zoo and saw gardens too.
THE BEARS DONT HAVE ME YET.
With love,
DeeDee”
*Note: I covered up the address for privacy when I took these photos for Instagram. While unlikely the recipients of this postcard still live at this same location all these years later, I figure better safe than sorry. Needless to say, the postcard doesn’t actually have a line over the address.
