Lorain-Carnegie Bridge and Terminal Tower, Cleveland, Ohio
PRINTED ON BACK: “Lorain-Carnegie Bridge, one of the bridges connecting Cleveland’s East and West sides. One of its arches frames a view of the Terminal group reflected in the Cuyahoga River. The bridge is 4,430 feet in the length and provides for six lanes of traffic.”
Mailed August 20, 1951. Linen. Good condition but the card is pretty yellowed.
HANDWRITTEN: “Dear Mary + Gordon,
Well John + his pa took off last Fri at 6:30pm for their vacation up north. Hope all goes well with my little one. Just hope he don’t get sick.
Thank you for the birthday gift you sent him – with the money I got him shoes one brown + one white pr.
So far I like my work very much but I’m still trying to get over this awful tired feeling – haha. Hard floors(?) I guess.
