Mailed July 29, 1955. Linen. One of the corner tips is a little creased, and there’s some discoloration on the back, but overall good condition.
HANDWRITTEN: “Dear Everett & Leslie,
We are spending our anniversary at Twist-O-Hill Lodge at Williston, VT. It is lovely. This picture is a little like the view from our room, the nearest I have seen on a card. We will be home Saturday.
Lillian & Charlotte left Easton last Sat. for New England. None of us knew exactly where in N.E. we were going, but we are having a lovely trip. This is about 385 miles from home.
Love, Mother & Dad”
*Note: I covered up the address for privacy when I took these photos for Instagram. While unlikely the recipients of this postcard still live at this same location all these years later, I figure better safe than sorry. Needless to say, the postcard doesn’t actually have a line over the address.
