Mailed August 6, 1938. Linen. I think. This card is in tragic condition. Straight up gross. I should probably toss it, but ugh, my heart. Badly, badly stained due to presumably water damage. Holes. Might even be some mold on there.

HANDWRITTEN: Having a swell time. The camp is on the edge of Lake Ontario right near the Thousand Islands.

Welcome to my postcard collection! Here's the rundown:

I have a couple thousand cards and am steadily cataloging them here. Above all, it's a hobby. A true love of history, travel, vintage artwork, and the little nuances of life. As an artist and writer, I get so much inspiration from all the people and places you'll find here.

Yes. I really am that nerdy.

I've managed to completely fund my collection by selling off some cards here and there. Some are listed for sale in my Etsy shop , but most are not due to listing fees and, quite simply, time. That said, there's a good chance I'd be willing to sell a lot of these, whether they're officially for sale or not. If you find some you'd like to add to your collection, email me at kaleigh@thingsarelovely.net and I'll get back to you. There are some that I won't part with, but a lot of them don't particularly mean a whole lot to me. I'd rather cards go to someone who specifically wants them, than for me to hold on to them in the name of "collecting", ya know?
