World's Fair 1964 - New York, New York

Unisphere New York World’s Fair 1964-1965 “Peace through Understanding”

PRINTED ON BACK: “Unisphere with New York State Pavilion in background. The Unisphere is the theme symbol of the Fair. Its top is 140 feet above the ground level and the globe is 120 feet in diameter with an open grid of latitudes and longitudes supporting the land masses.”

Mailed August 16, 1964. Chrome. Between the yellowing, tape residue, and writing, this card is not in great shape.

HANDWRITTEN: “Having a nice time.
Florence”

*Note: I covered up the address for privacy when I took these photos for Instagram. While unlikely the recipients of this postcard still live at this same location all these years later, I figure better safe than sorry. Needless to say, the postcard doesn’t actually have a line over the address.
